La forma dei cristalli non si riproduce sempre uguale, ma varia in base all’umidità
Al giorno d’oggi (in questo nostro tempo postmoderno), la scienza, che nel tempo moderno era materialistica, costruisce invece un mondo fantastico occupando il posto che un tempo fu della magia.
Nel passato gli incantesimi risolvevano il contrasto tra l’ansia della gente ed i disastri naturali
Rapparport dice che la sostanza del "rituale” è la forma e che il “rituale”ha efficacia reale attraverso il percorso formale. Se si dice che l’incantesimo dei tempi moderni è la magia, allora forse l’incantesimo della postmodernità sarà la scienza.
